130 developers built cross-chain projects from 400+ registrants, with $50K+ in total rewards.

Overview

The Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) is a next-generation blockchain network developed by the DFINITY Foundation, designed to extend the functionality of the internet by enabling developers to build decentralized applications and smart contracts directly on-chain without relying on traditional cloud services. Through ICP Hub Indonesia, the ecosystem continues to grow across Southeast Asia by empowering local developers, startups, and communities.

The Challenge

While Indonesia has a rapidly growing developer community, many still lack exposure to advanced Web3 technologies and real-world building opportunities. ICP Hub Indonesia sought to bridge this gap by creating an environment that encouraged innovation, collaboration, and the practical application of ICP’s chain-fusion technology all while strengthening its developer network in Southeast Asia’s largest crypto market.

Our Approach

  • $15,000 in hackathon prizes and $35,000 in participation rewards distributed.
  • 400+ total registrants, including 350+ Indonesian participants.
  • 130 developers successfully participated in the 48-hour coding marathon.
  • Strengthened awareness and developer adoption of the ICP ecosystem in Indonesia.

The Result

  • $15,000 in hackathon prizes and $35,000 in participation rewards distributed.
  • 400+ total registrants, including 350+ Indonesian participants.
  • 130 developers successfully participated in the 48-hour coding marathon.
  • Strengthened awareness and developer adoption of the ICP ecosystem in Indonesia.

Conclusion

The ICP Chain Fusion Hacker House at Coinfest Asia successfully positioned ICP Hub Indonesia as a driving force in the country’s Web3 innovation scene. By combining education, competition, and collaboration, the event fostered real builder engagement and set the stage for continued ecosystem growth and developer participation in future ICP programs.
